Was opened as a Fairlanes by Douglas Fairbanks Jnr in 1963 and was taken and operated by the Granada Group(The TV company) from 1965. Was one of the first 10 pin bowling alleys in the country.

In 1995 became Riverside Bowl but still referred to as Granada Bowl and operated by a 'Manchester holding company'.

Closed in 2005 (April) and partly demolished and fully refurbed as Riverside Bowl and Lazer Quest reopening in September 2005.

July 2007 acquired by American Amusements who still operate the complex.
